In this workshop you will learn the basics of creating and manipulating shapes by designing parts for minature models.
Learn 3D modeling by editing vertices, edges, and faces.
See the possibilities of creating a simple part and sculpting it.
Learn the locations and shortcuts for the basic tools.
Design a simple part for your character miniature.
When you've completed the part print it out to keep!
What you’ll learn:
- Get a tour of the interface and an explanation of the key tools
- Learn tips for easier 3d-printability of your designs
- Learn how to import and export files effectively, and how it can improve your productivity.
- Have what you designed 3d printed for you after the class, if you like. (pick up at a later date)
What’s included:
- Step by step instructions, screen will be shared on a projector
- Workbenches, power strips, chairs
- We recommend you to bring along a laptop with a mouse so you can follow along. We may have a laptop or two available, and a handful of mice.
Perfect for:
Hobbyists, designers, engineers, or anyone curious about using CAD to get ideas into digital format. ~12+ but willing to be flexible depending on maturity and interest level.
