Proof of Concept

A proof-of-concept is the moment an idea is no longer

just an idea.

It's the step where you test whether something can work before committing fully to building it. It's not the finished product — it's the necessary experiment which answers the question: "Is this real?"

A Makerspace Where Ideas Come to Life

What We're about

Not just a 3d print supply shop

Not just a makerspace

Not just a workshop venue.

We're about rapidly prototyping ideas

Our vision is to enable people with the latest fabrication tools so they can make their ideas come to life.

*And*

The power of collaboration

It's one thing to develop something in isolation, it's a whole other thing to develop a concept with peer review and with collaboration from a crew who want to see you succeed. We want for Proof of Concept to be a space which helps people make all the things, and also which helps them find their crew along the way.

Our hope is that customers who shop with us, make things in our workshop, and connect with other like-minded souls are generally bolstered by the various services we offer.

What we offer

Makerspace access

Always growing, one of our core missions is to enable our customers with the latest and greatest prototyping tools. Currently the heavy focus is on 3D-printing, 3D-scanning, and various other low-energy prototyping tools. The plan for the future is to grow the makerspace to also enable our members with laser-cutting, water-jetting, CNC’ing, turning, milling, engraving, sewing, pressing etc. We'd love to hear about what kinds of tools you'd like to have access to!

Our offered services will grow alongside our equipment offerings. Here are the services we currently offer.

In the spirit of enabling our community with rapid prototyping, We'd be happy to print your first print (up to $35) for free! Use our instant quote generator and the coupon code "FIRST PRINT 35 OFF"

3D printing

We’ll help you print parts up to 350 x 320 x 325 mm. We’ll also guide you along the way and teach you how to make sure the parts you want printed actually achieve your goals. In-store pickup only for now, but willing to make exceptions.

3D scanning

We’ll help you use 3D-scanning to achieve whatever your goal might be.. You might want a 3D printed version of some part, or you might want to design something around a part, or you just want to keep a digital version of something for safekeeping. Let’s chat and work together to scan the thing!

Assembly

We have the tools and knowledge to help you put your concept together and test it out at our makerspace. Whether something needs fastening, soldering, an SOP or jigs to help with consistent manufacturing, or any other product integration need, we’ve got you covered.

Workshops

We'd love to teach you all the things! Check out our workshops schedule and sign up to learn something new! Totally new to 3d printing? Come by for our free 45 minute intro sessions on Tuesdays.

Retail

Stock up on filament, 3d printer parts and accessories, and other tools you might need for your rapid-prototyping endeavors! We stock rapid prototyping hardware at a reasonable price so you can get what you need to build your project locally.

Prototyping

Let’s work together to make your idea into reality! We offer various levels of prototyping. From "napkin sketch to looks-like part in a week, to a 2-4week "Concept to reality" option where we work together to make your design ready for pitching, testing, or mass-manufacture.

Reverse engineering / Heirloom recreations

Do you want to just make a copy of something? We can help 3d scan your object, post-process it in CAD, and even make sure that hole sizes, etc, are correct for your intended use of the replica. Reach out to us to learn more about this process!
